How to Embed a Canva Template into Your Playlist
1. Generate the Public Embed Link in Canva
Before you can link the template, you have to “publish” it via Canva’s embed tool:
Open your design in Canva.
Click the Share button in the top right corner.
Select More (or the three dots icon) and then find and click Embed.
Click the purple Embed button to generate your public links.
2. Extract the Template ID
The “Template ID” is a specific string of characters found within the Smart Embed Link.
Locate the Smart Embed Link (the second link in the list).
Find the string of characters located after
/design/and before/watch.Note: This ID is unique and different from the standard URL in your browser’s address bar. Make sure you copy it directly from the embed section!
3. Link the ID to Your Digital Signage Template
Now, head back to your playlist dashboard to apply the ID:
Go to your Playlist and find the “Canva Test” (or relevant) template.
Click Customize Template.
In the Template ID section, ensure the Text radio button is selected.
Paste your unique ID into the text box.
Click Save.
4. Preview and Verify
Once saved and scheduled to your playlist, you can click the play button in the top right to view your content.
The Canva design should now load and play seamlessly within your designated zone.
